If you are curious about Freemasonry, symbolic reflection, personal improvement, or our Liberal Masonic tradition, we welcome your inquiry.
Submitting an inquiry does not commit you to membership. It simply begins a conversation with members of Pacific Moon Lodge.
We welcome sincere seekers from Redwood City, San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, the Coastside, and the broader Bay Area who are drawn to self-improvement, fellowship, equality, and freedom of conscience.
Pacific Moon may resonate with those who are seeking more than casual association or social networking.
You may feel at home here if you are drawn to:
self-improvement and ethical growth;
symbolism, philosophy, ritual, and reflection;
meaningful fellowship with thoughtful men and women;
a Masonic tradition grounded in liberty, equality, fraternity, and solidarity;
a lodge that honors absolute freedom of conscience.
You do not need prior knowledge of Freemasonry, Masonic ritual, or the French Rite to reach out. Sincerity, respect, discretion, and a genuine desire for improvement matter more than technical knowledge.
1. Submit an Inquiry: Tell us a little about yourself, where you are located, and what draws you to Pacific Moon Lodge.
2. Receive a Response: The Secretary of our lodge will contact you and begin the conversation. This may include answering your initial questions and learning more about your interest in Freemasonry.
3. Begin a Conversation: If there is mutual interest, we may invite you to an informal conversation or appropriate social introduction before any formal process begins.
Formal Masonic labors are reserved for members, but sincere seekers are welcome to begin learning whether this path resonates with them.
Do I need to know anything about Freemasonry before contacting you?
No. Prior knowledge of Freemasonry, ritual, or the French Rite is not required. Sincerity, curiosity, discretion, and a desire for self-improvement matter more than technical knowledge.
Are women admitted?
Yes. Pacific Moon Lodge is a mixed Masonic lodge where men and women participate as equals in the life and work of the lodge.
Do I need to believe in God or profess a specific religion?
No. Pacific Moon Lodge honors absolute freedom of conscience and does not require members or seekers to profess a specific religious belief.
What does “Liberal Freemasonry” mean?
In our context, “Liberal” does not refer to party politics. It refers to a Masonic tradition grounded in freedom of conscience, equality, philosophical inquiry, and the dignity of each person’s search for truth.
What is the French Rite?
The French Rite is the historic Masonic ritual tradition practiced by Pacific Moon Lodge. It gives structure to our symbolic work and harmonizes naturally with Liberal Freemasonry, equality, and freedom of conscience.
Can I attend a meeting?
Formal Masonic labors are reserved for members. Sincere seekers may be invited to an informal conversation or appropriate social introduction before any formal process begins.
